Last Updated: July, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Kerafena (“Kerafena,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit kerafena.com, create an account, apply for a professional account, or purchase our products. It applies to all visitors and customers of our website.

By using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to the practices described in this policy. This policy is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions.

  1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account and contact information: First and last name, email address, phone number, and shipping and billing address (street, city, state, ZIP code).

Order information: Products purchased, order history, order value, and communications with our customer support team.

Payment information: Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our systems. We receive limited transaction information, such as the last four digits of your card, card type, billing ZIP code, and authorization status.

Professional account information: If you apply for a professional account, we collect your professional license number, license type, issuing state or authority, license expiration date, business or salon name, business address, and any supporting documentation you submit, such as a copy of your license or proof of professional status.

Communications: Any information you provide when you contact us by email, phone, or through forms on our website.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our website, we automatically collect usage data including your IP address, browser type and version, device type and unique device identifiers, operating system, the pages you visit, referring URLs, the date and time of your visit, time spent on pages, and other diagnostic data.

When you access our website through a mobile device, we may also collect your mobile device type, mobile device unique ID, mobile operating system, and mobile browser type.

1.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, keep you logged in, maintain your shopping cart, and understand how our website is used.

We use the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the website to function, including account login, cart, and checkout. These cannot be disabled.
  • Performance and analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
  • Advertising and targeting cookies — [INCLUDE ONLY IF YOU RUN ADS] used to deliver relevant advertising and measure campaign effectiveness, including through third-party advertising platforms.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of our website from working properly.

  • Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and provide order confirmations and shipping updates

  • Determine your eligibility to view professional product listings and professional pricing
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Process returns and claims under our Returns policy
  • Send you transactional communications about your orders, account, and shipping

  1. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below.

Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, including payment processing, order fulfillment and shipping carriers, website hosting, email and SMS delivery, customer support tools, analytics, and professional license verification services. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.

Professional license verification. If you apply for a professional account, we may share your license information with state licensing boards or third-party verification services to confirm your credentials.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud, enforce our Terms, or protect the safety of any person.

Business transfers. We may share or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business.

With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent.

Advertising partners. We may share limited information, such as hashed email addresses and browsing activity, with advertising platforms to deliver and measure advertising. Under some state privacy laws, this activity may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” of personal information. See Section 6 for how to opt out.

SMS specific: We do not share your mobile phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are shared only with our SMS delivery provider for the purpose of sending messages you have requested.

  1. Marketing Communications

We send two types of messages:

Transactional messages relate to your orders, shipping, account, and professional application status. These are necessary to provide our services and are sent to all customers.

Marketing messages promote products, offers, and news. We send these only to individuals who have separately opted in. Consent to marketing is never a condition of purchase.

You may opt out of marketing at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, replying STOP to any marketing text message, or emailing info@kerafena.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about orders you have placed. Message and data rates may apply to text messages, and message frequency varies.

  1. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

  • Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Order and transaction records are retained as required by tax, accounting, and consumer protection laws.
  • Professional license information is retained for the duration of your professional account and for a reasonable period after termination, to document eligibility decisions and support compliance.
  • Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period, except where used to strengthen security, improve functionality, or where we are legally required to retain it longer.

We may retain information longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

  1. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request confirmation of whether we process your information and obtain a copy
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your information, subject to legal exceptions
  • Portability — request a copy in a portable format
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right

California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know the categories of personal information collected, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom it is shared, as well as the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.

Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others — have similar rights under their respective state laws.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@kerafena.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or call (864) 862-6282. We will verify your identity before responding, which may require you to confirm information we already hold about you. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally 45 days, and may extend that period where permitted.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Deletion and professional accounts: Deleting your account information will terminate your professional account access. We may retain professional license records where necessary to document past eligibility decisions or comply with legal obligations.

  1. Children’s Privacy

Our website and products are not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or make a purchase, consistent with our Terms and Conditions. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@kerafena.com.

  1. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (SSL/TLS), restricted access to systems containing personal data, and use of PCI-compliant third-party payment processors.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulators as required by law.

  1. Data Location and Transfers

Kerafena operates in the United States, and we sell and ship only within the United States. Your information is processed and stored in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate.

If you access our website from outside the United States, understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using our website and submitting your information, you consent to this transfer.

  1. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including social media platforms and payment processors. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide additional notice, such as by email to registered account holders or a notice posted on our website. Your continued use of our website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
